ISLAMABAD, Jan 31 (APP): Speakers at a seminar on "Kashmir Solidarity" here on Monday said that the sacrifices of Kashmiris would bear fruit in the shape of freedom with a great example for the globe.They reiterated that Pakistan would continue the moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people till the day of freedom.The event was organized by University of Lahore and Express Media group at a local hotel.


Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan participated as a chief guest and urged the students that they should come forward to continue the movement of freedom.

He said the relationship of Kashmir and Pakistan was of a soul and body and it can never be broken.

Attique also appreciated the role and response of Pakistani nation during the earthquake of 2005, adding that Kashmiris would remember the love of Pakistani people which was done in the troubled time.

Chairman Kashmir Committee Maulana Fazul-ur-Rehman urged on  the international community to play effective role for the self-determination and freedom of the occupied Kashmir.

He said United Nations played the role in Indonesia and Sudan but still Kashmiris waiting for its replay after the passage of resolution for their self determination.

Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Mian Manzoor Wattoo said that all preparations have been finalized to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day   in a befitting manner.

"We reiterate our commitment to extend full support to Kashmiri brethren in their freedom struggle from Indian occupation,"the Minister said.
The minister said that Pakistan would continue supporting the right to self-determination for the people of the held Kashmir. 
General ® Hameed Gul said "We along with our Kashmiri brothers and sisters will renew our pledge to continue supporting their legitimate cause of freedom and to continue raising our voice against Indian repression of the freedom-loving Kashmiris". 

He said on Solidarity Day as a token of respect to the valiant struggle of Kashmiris one-minute silence through out the country would be  observed  and human chain will also be made at Kohala point.

Manzoor Wattoo said that President Asif Ali Zardari will address the Kashmir convention and Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani will address the joint session of the AJK Legislative Assembly and Kashmir Council on Feb 5.

Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudary, former Prime Minister of AJK said that it was the responsibility of the international community to support cause of Kashmiris and implement UN resolutions of Kashmir which promises the right to self-determination.
