Hosni Mubarak is an Anglo-American stooge. His exit will damage very
badly the American
interests and that of its foster child Israel. Yet Prez Obama said,
'There are very few moments in our lives where we have the privilege
to witness history taking place. This is one of those moments'.
Obama went on to say: 'We saw mothers and fathers carrying their
children on their shoulders to show them what true freedom might look
like. We saw protesters chant "Selmiyya, selmiyya" -- "We are
peaceful" -- again and again. We saw a military that would not fire
bullets at the people they were sworn to protect. And we saw doctors
and nurses rushing into the streets to care for those who were
wounded, volunteers checking protesters to ensure that they were
unarmed. We saw people of faith praying together and chanting –
"Muslims, Christians, We are one. And while the sights and sounds that
we heard were entirely Egyptian, we can't help but hear the echoes of
history -- echoes from Germans tearing down a wall, Indonesian
students taking to the streets, Gandhi leading his people down the
path of justice".
In contrast, the birth place of the non-violent struggle reacted in
the most shameful way. Egyptians must thank that Dr Manmohan Singh,
the Indian Mobarak, has not opened his mouth on the history made in
Cairo. A feudal Foreign Minister congratulates Mubarak that he has
taken the right decision (as if he had any other choice). People's
victory is nothing to be rejoiced. A week earlier this worthy termed
the Egyptian revolt as an internal affair of that nation. When a
feudal monarchy was shaken by the Nepalese people, Congress sent Raja
Karan Singh to protect the interests of Gyanendra. RSS & co cried
over the demise of the lone Hindu kingdom. We never cared to look at
the Myanmar's struggle for freedom. We armed a 21st century Hitler to
butcher Tamils in Sri Lanka. Only comrades made some muted noise over
Egyptian development. That is because Mobarak is not a Russian puppet.
They looked the other way over the censorship imposed on Chinese
people about Egypt making history. For Omar Abdullah, it is a take
over of Egyptian army. He forgets that his place has been under a
ruthless military rule for the past six decades. Our knowledgeable
pundits are worried over the exit of Mubarak. They are afraid of the
possibility of a fundamentalist regime taking over Egypt. An
autocratic Mubarak rule and his military's tight control are ok for
these rotten think tanks. Our youngsters, as usual, are engrossed in
IPL and World Cup. Is it the land of Buddha and Gandhi?
